2015 R Camp

R Camp for Current 7th Graders and Above

miRcore-name

NOTE: Based on the success of last year’s camp, we are offering this camp to students of different grades, including current (2014-15 school year) 7th graders, focusing on R. Similar grade students will form a same group. Last year, 7th grader groups competed well with 12th grader groups, and 12th graders enjoyed their group’s maturity.

Overview: This camp provides statistical methods in the context of disease research. R is a statistical tool and programming language with excellent graphic options, useful in various application areas such as medicine, public policy, and economics. After R is introduced, the camp will apply R to statistically analyze RNA expression data of patient data. There will be daily programming challenges beginning Tuesday.
