Our goal for high school student camps

  1. Give high school students an opportunity to enjoy science. (Hear Marianne talking about it at TEDxYouth.)
  2. Provide high school students tools for Science Fair projects.
  3. Recruit high school miRcore volunteers.
    1. In-depth computational biology research throughout the school year.
    2. Opportunity to be leaders of GIDAS (Genes In Diseases And Symptoms) club.
      1. Prepare high school students for the Genes and Health Contest.
      2. Prepare high school students to present at the Research Conference and publish an abstract.
    3. Learn various aspects of computers, science, and medicine in real world.
    4. May write a research paper in the Jounal of Emerging Investigators.

We have a limited number of partial scholarships available for students.  If you would like to apply for the scholarship, please submit the copy of the following documents to

We will inform you of our decision via email.

  1. First two pages of Federal income tax return for 2017 or 2016 (if you did not file for 2017 yet).
  2. Proof of free lunch or reduced price lunch.
  3. Please have your student answer the following questions: Why do you want to take this camp? What are your favorite subjects and why?
  4. Please indicate how much you can provide of the total fee as well.
