Computational Biology Research Camp for High School Students
Linux and Biology
Overview: This camp provides basic usage of Linux commands to run bioinformatics programs. Several problems to edit files using command lines will be explored. Lunch is included in the fee. Bring your laptops. Instruction will be sent to Window users to prepare your computers before the camp. You can enjoy Linux on your computer after the camp.

MAIN TARGETS: high school students (young women and men) who are intereted in computer, math, biology, and medicine.

Goals
- Expose high school students to the emerging era of medical genomics, when all doctors must be well-acquainted with genetic discoveries, technologies, and applications.
- Support GIDAS (Genes In Diseases And Symptoms) club members for in-depth knowledge in the field.
