Dear MVP students!
We are now the last stretch of the 2019-20 season. Two more meetings and then we will resume in September for the 2020-21 season. Senior graduates, I am already missing you just thinking about it.
1) No Thursday team-building this week.
I hope you have now established a new norm and have less need of mid-week support. I enjoyed getting to know you more individually.
2) 7th High School Research Conference
We will hold the Conference virtually on August 29, 2020, with Dr. Chad Brummett as the keynote speaker. More information on the detailed schedule and presenting options will be available later.
3) 2020-21 MVP officer application and election
Thank you to everyone who applied for the next year’s officer positions. Eleanor sent out a late application form for some positions. The election date is May 30th. I am excited!
4) Summer camp guest speaker talks
We added information on the guest speakers for the summer camps which can be viewed here. In addition to the campers, I am inviting MVP students to the talk. Look out for next week’s attendance form.
5) Survey to help us improve.
This week’s attendance projection form includes a survey that will help us understand the effectiveness of our program. I look forward to getting your responses.
6) SARS-CoV-2 sequences
This weekend, we will look into SARS-CoV-2 resources (sequences and structures).
